IQST Symposium "Milestones in Quantum Optics"

On the occasion of Wolfgang Schleich's 60th birthday, the center for IQST organized the symposium "Milestones in Quantum Optics" in his honor. Many of Wolfgang's friends and colleagues who he has worked with over his illustrious career were attending.

IQST Day

Each year we hold an event to bring the entire community together, and share our current research results, meet new potential collaboration partners for future projects and to get to know local industry partners.  

We look forward to seeing everyone for IQST Day 2017 on October 11th at Ulm University.

Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting on July 1, 2016

66th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting dedicated to the field of physics

Our center IQST has been invited to participate in the final event: a traditional boat trip across Lake Constance hosted by the German Federal State of Baden-Württemberg. Countess Bettina Bernadotte af Wisborg, President of the Council, took farewell of the delegates from 80 countries. 29 Nobel Laureates and some 400 selected young scientists had spent the week in Lindau discussing central topics from the field of physics.

Hannover Messe

IQST takes part yearly in the Hannover Messe, with representation from the IQST Graduate Students.  Together with various universities from Baden-Württemberg, the center for IQST presents the latest experimental results and a demonstrator of fundamental physics ideas at the exhibition stand of Baden-Württemberg international.
