Congratulations to Fellow Simone Montangero for receiving a Heisenberg Stipend

A prestigious Heisenberg Stipend has been awarded to Prof. Dr. Simone Montangero for his work on simulating complex quantum systems.  The stipend, awarded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), can be used to fund his research for five years and is an important step in securing his position as a full professor.  The project for which he received funding is called “Extreme simulations for quantum technologies” and will concentrate on the development of computational methods to study lattice gauge theories and their applications to quantum technologies and quantum materials.
